INTRODUCING D'ESTRELLA

Hello there!

We are Kerry-Ann and Karena, 2 sisters whose personalities can be compared to the human brain . Kerry-Ann(the right brain), is the creative,arty one who has a career in the performing arts industry while Karena (the left brain), is the logical, thinking one. Put them together and they complement each other so well that they are now both the brains behind D'Estrella.

It all started when Kerry-Ann was a student in Melbourne,Australia and ventured into a bead shop out of curiosity. Initially just intending to make a necklace as a present for her sister,she got guidance from the shop to create the most basic loop and proceeded to figure out the rest on her own. She got hooked to the art of jewellery making and made it her hobby,selling a few pieces along the way.

Upon her return to Malaysia, her hobby slowly took a backseat as career and other matters took priority but off and on, would still bring out the tools to create new masterpieces as gifts.Recently, she rediscovered the art of jewellery making and is now back with a vengeance, even training Karena to be a jewellery maker! Karena of course, is the 'business person' who was given the task of setting up this humble blog.

D'Estrella, deriving its name from the Spanish word meaning "star", was created with the aim that everybody can look and feel like a "star". Who can tell you what's in and what's out or what suits you best except you yourself? D'Estrella lets you have fully customised pieces where you can play with colours and designs or simply choose something from our ready-to-wear pieces and walk away feeling like that superstar!

While we currently work on jewellery pieces only, we may bring in other craft or handmade items in the future as our creative streak is always working overtime. Do stay tuned!
